Jason (Murph ) has been the pastor at Crosshaven since the church was started in February of 2004. He is a native of Cullman County and is a graduate of Cullman High School, Samford University, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a double major in Social Sciences and History, a Master's Degree in Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Discipleship and Christian Education. He is married to Sharon Murphree (pharmacist) and they have three awesome kids (Jackson, Emma, and Jake). Murph has previously served in ministry positions at Lakeside Baptist Church in Birmingham, Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Birmingham, Central Park Baptist Church in Birmingham, and Hopewell Baptist Church in Hanceville. He also was employed at one time by Samford University and served as a Bible teacher and basketball coach at Central Park Christian School in Birmingham. He has taught as an adjunct instructor in the undergraduate program at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Birmingham Campus). He loves to spend time with his wife and children and enjoys boating, skiing, and tubing on the lake. He also likes running (although he needs to do more of it), playing tennis, coaching his kids, playing guitar and piano, and making occasional trips to the beach to relax or to the mountains to snow ski. Murph is a big Bama and Samford fan, roots for the Braves, loves to travel, and has a strange fascination with hickory smoked barbecue (he loves to smoke barbecue at home and makes the boastful claim that he has been to or at least heard of almost every worthwhile barbecue joint in the southeast). His greatest passion in life is to share the gospel with people and show them that they are deeply loved by Christ.

Jami has served as Crosshaven's administor since late 2010. She is a native of Cullman County and is married to Derek. She graduated from Hanceville High School in 2001 and graduated from the University of West Alabama in 2004 with a degree in Accounting (besides working at Crosshaven she also works as a Certified Public Accountant). Derek and Jami have a little boy name Hayes (he was born premature, but God has blessed him and he is doing great). Jami enjoys being at home with her family, reading, watching movies, watching Bama football, and hanging out with her friends in her Life Group. Her favorite foods are Mexican and Italian. Jami loves Jesus and knows that Jesus desires for His church to be in order. He blessed her with financial skills, so she blesses her church by keeping us biblically sound with finances.
